The Transfiguration: A Glimpse of Glory

This entry is part 3 of 5 in the series Journey to the Cross: A Lenten Devotional Series
“This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!”
Matthew 17:5

Reflection:

The Transfiguration reveals Jesus’ divine glory, confirming His identity as the Son of God. Peter, James, and John were privileged to witness this moment, which foreshadowed the glory of the resurrection. In the midst of Jesus’ earthly ministry, this moment served to strengthen the disciples’ faith and prepare them for the suffering that lay ahead.

As we journey through Lent, we too can find encouragement in these moments of divine revelation. We may not see the glory of Christ with our eyes, but we experience it through the Holy Spirit, who strengthens us in our faith and calls us to follow Him.

Prayer:

Jesus, we thank You for revealing Your glory to us. Help us to see You more clearly in this season of Lent and draw nearer to Your transforming presence. Amen.
